12-Month Warranty

At Van-Alarm, we are committed to providing reliable, high-quality vehicle security products. All eligible products purchased directly from Van-Alarm.com are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

What the Warranty Covers

Our 12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults that occur during normal use within the warranty period.

Where a product is found to have a manufacturing defect, Van-Alarm.com will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the faulty product;
  • Replace the product with the same or an equivalent product; or
  • Provide another appropriate remedy where applicable.

Any replacement product will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation, fitting or wiring;
  • Improper use or misuse of the product;
  • Accidental damage;
  • Physical damage, impact or water ingress where the product is not designed to be waterproof;
  • Modification, alteration or attempted repair by an unauthorised person;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Damage caused by electrical faults, incorrect voltage or unsuitable vehicle wiring;
  • Damage caused by external equipment or accessories;
  • Theft, loss or damage after installation;
  • Failure to follow the product's installation or operating instructions.

Installation

Where a product is supplied for self-installation, the customer is responsible for ensuring that it is installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

If a product has been professionally installed, we may request details of the installer when assessing a warranty claim.

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact Van-Alarm with:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase;
  • The product name and/or model;
  • A description of the fault;
  • Photographs or video demonstrating the issue, where appropriate;
  • Details of the installation, if relevant.

We may ask you to carry out reasonable troubleshooting steps before authorising a return.

If the product needs to be returned, we will provide instructions on how to do so. Products should not be returned without prior authorisation.

Assessment of Warranty Claims

All warranty claims are subject to assessment. If inspection confirms that the fault is covered by this warranty, Van-Alarm.com will arrange the appropriate remedy.

If the product is found to be functioning correctly, or the fault is due to an exclusion listed above, the warranty claim may be declined. In such circumstances, any return postage or inspection costs will be explained to the customer before being charged, where applicable.

Your Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
